George Hendee Day
Indian Motocycle Rally
July 19th   10am-4pm
Sponsors:
JT's Sports House
1664 Main St., Agawam, MA
On Sunday, July 19 from 10am - 4pm, The Friends of the Farm at Hilltop (FOFAH) is holding their first annual George Hendee Day, an Indian Motocycle Rally.

George Hendee was the co-founder of the Indian Motocycle Company in Springfield, MA. During his lifetime, he was a bicycle racing champion, bicycle and motorcycle builder, philanthropist and gentleman farmer. At the rally, his history, bicycles, motorcycles and vendors with motorcycle related products will be on display. Many of the motorcycles are restored and are still ridden today.

For many years, the Indian Motorcycle Museum just 8 miles away in Springfield, MA held a rally. Over 2000 people would gather to see the Indians. Many that traveled a long distance would camp at the farm of Russell Longey in Chester, MA and travel to the rally in the morning.  The museum closed four years ago and the rally stopped.  The link to George Hendee was lost but Russell and the Pioneer Valley Cycle Rally continued the annual gathering. Now we have it back, an Indian Motorcycle Rally on the property that Hendee built.

Being a vendor or sponsoring the Rally would be a great opportunity for your business to have people of all ages and backgrounds see your name and hear your message.
